A one-day Advanced Assessment Tools For Offshore Developments seminar will be held on April 11 at the Danish Cleantech Hub in Brooklyn, New York. The seminar will examine advanced ecological assessment tools for de-risking sustainable coastal development by providing an overview of emerging numerical ecological models for marine and coastal environments; ranging from environmental pressure modeling to habitat suitability, agent-based and ‘integrated’ modeling. It will include a synopsis of the basic functionality of reviewed models, and their benefit and applicability for use in risk analyses, project planning, environmental assessment permitting processes and environmental monitoring and management.

This event is free for developers, university students / faculty, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations. It is offered in cooperation with Ecology and Environment Inc., which will contribute to the proceedings, and the Danish Cleantech Hub, which is providing the venue.
