BOEM Avian Survey Info Webinar

BOEM's Office of Renewable Energy Programs (OREP) is working to update the Guidelines for Providing Avian Survey Information for Renewable Energy Development on the Atlantic Outer Continental Shelf. OREP will host a webinar on September 8, 2016 to discuss our proposed changes to the guidelines and give participants the opportunity to provide feedback. Additional information is below.

BOEM updates its guidelines periodically as new information or methodologies become available. The updated avian guidelines will assist lessees in:

• Identifying the information necessary for BOEM to conduct environmental reviews of a lessee's Construction and Operations Plan.
• Clarifying information needs for site assessment activities.  
• Finding information resources, including federally funded studies on the Atlantic Outer Continental Shelf.
